We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our psychology clinic. This role plays a vital part in our client care process by conducting intake interviews, gathering essential clinical and personal information, and serving as the first point of contact for new clients, our clients are referred from doctors or lawyers. The Intake Specialist ensures that each client is appropriately scheduled, assessed, and referred to the right clinician or services.

Key Responsibilities:

-Scheduling & Coordination

-Manage intake scheduling using clinic systems and coordinate with clients and clinicians.

-Ensure timely follow-up and communication with clients pre- and post-intake.

-Intake Interviews

-Conduct 1.5-hour intake interviews using a provided structured template.

-Gather comprehensive information regarding presenting issues, mental health history, family background, and psychosocial functioning.

-Create a welcoming, supportive environment that fosters open dialogue and confidentiality.

-Documentation & Reporting

-Compile thorough intake notes based on direct observations and client responses.

-Maintain accurate records of all interviews in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.

-Summarize key findings and recommendations for clinical staff for case assignment.

-Collaboration

-Communicate findings and potential clinical needs to the treatment team.

-Assist with triage and referral decisions based on client needs and clinic availability.

-Participate in regular team meetings to discuss caseload, workflow, and clinical updates.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field.

– English level B2

-Prior experience in a mental health or clinical setting strongly preferred. Candidates can be fresh out of university, completing the internship hours in a clinic environments up to 1-2 years of experience.

-Strong interviewing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

-Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.

 

Additional Information:

-Training Provided: Orientation to clinic procedures and test-specific training will be provided. It is a 6 hours training

-Schedule: Monday to Friday: Availability 7am to 7pm MST
